'If we make Heron Ridge too hard to play and not fun, we all lose; we as designers, the golfers who play the course and the owners. We cannot do that to them, nor can we do that to ourselves.
Heron Ridge is just one of a few courses which Fred Couples and I will design during our collective architectural careers. Our philosophy is; we will design and build a few outstanding golf courses, not several average courses."
